Well - a lovely weekend with friends, cake, wine, cake, banana soup, knitting, happy kids, cats, dogs and other wildlife...... including some unwelcome visitors to the barnets of Guiseppe and Munchkin.
ALIVE!!!!!!!!
Still, with the able assistance of KW and her fab cutting skills, some eagle-eyed furtling around and some lethal head spray, all is now well.
Banana soup is not to be trifled with.
Recipe can be provided.
Sunny days bring on the self-doubt connected with furry legs and arms. Confidence restored in the nick of time, (not the nick of a razor) and I stay furry for another day..............

I don't like Mondays....
Morning comes too soon.... the alarm wasn't necessary as Guiseppe woke at 4am when he discovered the £2 from the Tooth Fairy under his pillow. He was a bit disappointed at the message from 'him' as it advised him to clean his teeth more often!!!
Indiscriminate headache/tummy ache from Munchkin resulted in a day off for her, lounging weakly in a chair with the telly on.
Guiseppe went to school, after assisting me in the carrying of the cat box. Dubster is at present cashing in his little 'voucher' at the vets, and will be returning to The Homestead minus 2 of his most treasured possessions (!) and the proud owner of a nice new micro-chip (special offer).
Ceefer and Pusskers seem to be basking in the peace that has ensued since Dubster's departure to t'vetnery. Little do they know that chaos will be restored this afternoon once the anaesthetic has worn off!!!
Munchkin is now partly recovered - constructing a cheese triangle and tomato sandwich for her own lunch. I believe she is making one for me too.
There are 13 big blue parcels of exam papers waiting to be collected in the hallway. Waiting with anticipation was never one of my good points - I trust that the parcel man will be here between 1 and 3 as requested. :)
Brownies and Beavers will duly be attended tonight - I am keeping my head down in case the Beaver Man asks me again to be a helper. Onwards through the day - and now to attack the mould inside the fridge......... huzzah!!!

Fur
I am in the process of a one-year study on the ability of the female body to cover itself in fur.
In August 2010, a found myself separated from my partner of 19 years. The day I realised he wasn't coming back, I decided to use this as an opportunity to find out just how long my leg and armpit hair could grow, untouched, for a whole year......
10 months into the experiment, I find that I appear to have 'maxed out' and no further length seems to be forthcoming. I will be patient, and wait until the full twelve months before coming to any firm conclusions. As Quentin Crisp noted with regard to household dust, "After four years," he quipped, "you don't notice the dust." I am interested in how the hirsuteness of my limbs will appear after one year. Another three years may be in the offing then, bearing in mind the possibility of further ice and snow this year, turning off the central heating in a bid for economy, and my personal fear of the cold.
So - to depilate or not to depilate (yes, I did look up the spelling!) - based on the encouraging comments of my sisters-in-fur, and the barely disguised fixation on my tufts from the brave brothers who cross my path, I may never shave again!

Welcome to my world..........
I have fancied having a go at a blog for a while now, but only got around to it tonight following a failed attempt to cast on 64 stitches for my next sock! So here I am, and here it is.....
Munchkin and Giuseppe are asleep in bed, the tooth fairy is expected at any moment (2 teeth safely under the pillow of Giuseppe), cats all asleep on my bed, and a weird sound coming from the garden.
I have managed to down a pint of water in a feeble attempt to hydrate my brain, but all in all, I feel a trip to Bedfordshire is imminent.
So - follow me if you like - I'd love to take you with me on my journey....
